Donald Trump was and is a dictator. Michael Cohen said it when he stated clearly that nothing went on in the Trump Org without his stamp of approval. Nothing. Any man that runs a business of that size with no oversight board is simply a dictator. Now add that a man with no morality or sense of ethics and you have a Benito Mussolini. Trump dictated to the republican party when he threatened to leave the party and go third party and Ronna Romney McDaniel begged him not to. He extorted them like a mobster to pay his legal bills. He extorted them with his mailing lists of donors refusing to share the lists unless they ponied up. He is a dictator.
Trump dictated how the members of Congress would vote on policy. When some members put country first, he then would enlist his mob on them because they did not follow his instructions. Dictator. Mob boss. When the now defrocked McCarthy, tried to govern, Trump dictated his removal. He then dictated who would be the next speaker. Insurrectionist participant Mike Johnson was just the ticket. Tom Immer, who voted to certify the 2020 election was ousted, but has now returned to the fold and endorsed the dictator. Dictator. Mob boss.
Trump continues to run roughshod over the law and continues to dictate to the congressional members on how to operate. The Biden impeachment is right in the old history playbook. What he is doing now is what Obran did in Hungary. Lose an election and while out of office, spend your time harassing the legitimate government with claims of corruption, open borders, and promises that he alone can fix things while fending off legal challenges. Then get reelected and proceed to change the law or government personnel to loyalists that will interpret the law in his favor.
Trumps dictates the news cycle in right wing media. He has plenty of people who despise him that are willing to do his bidding in public while trashing him in private. We saw that with the Dominion lawsuit and will continue to see it other suits. In Oath and Honor, Liz Cheney mentions some names of republicans that did Trump’s bidding in FEAR of safety of their selves and family. MOB RULE.
Sadly, what these people not speaking out do not realize, HE WILL COME FOR YOU. Either he or Steve Miller, Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn. His lieutenants will be eager to use their unrestrained power against all that have expressed differing views. Those that fear these people will be further humiliated and persecuted. History shows. Ask those Hungarians that opposed Obran. Ask those in any country now faced with the loss of democratic governments. Illiberal democracy is NOT democracy. It is rule by legal force to suppress dissent. Mob Rule by minority.
Trump will not be a dictator on day one, he already is. He was before, just not schooled on how to legally become the first American Dictator POTUS. He now knows and so does his cronies. Project 2025 will be used with his blessing by the very people that our current legal system is pursuing. Whether or not he wins the election in November, this will continue. Our system is set up to allow for it. Government has to be perfect in prosecution, which is a good thing, until you have people who use that very thing to take it down.
The extremists in the conservative ranks have been on this path for a long time. Nixon was the last powerful conservative to face penalties by the conservative party and even he got off when he was pardoned and not tried for his crimes. Through the well funded right wing think tanks, legal minds have been crafting legal interpretations, indoctrinating lawyers and legislators, and filling judgeships with ideological minions to set the stage for where we are today.
Trump was always a dictator, if reelected he will be the first American Dictator and you can rest assured, not the last.
