What is happening in D.C. with this administration is more than a coup as stated in Dr. Richardson’s letter on 2/5/25:
“In his important piece “The Logic of Destruction and How to Resist It,” published February 2 in his Thinking about…, scholar of authoritarianism Timothy Snyder reflected on the president’s multiple photo ops signing executive orders to, for example, blame former Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Joe Biden for a plane crash that happened during Trump’s term. Snyder referred to the president as “a befuddled Trump signing ever larger pieces of paper for the cameras.”
Today journalist Gil Duran of The Nerd Reich noted that a thinker popular with the technological elite in 2022 laid out a plan to gut the U.S. government and replace it with a dictatorship. This would be a “reboot” of the country, Curtis Yarvin wrote, and it would require a “full power start,” a reference to restarting a stalled starship by jumping to full power, which risks destroying the ship.
Yarvin called for “giving absolute sovereignty to a single organization,” headed by the equivalent of the rogue chief executive officer of a corporation who would destroy the public institutions of the democratic government. Trump—whom Yarvin dismissed as weak—would give power to that CEO, who would “run the executive branch without any interference from the Congress or courts.” “Most existing important institutions, public and private, will be shut down and replaced with new and efficient systems.” Once loyalists have replaced civil servants in a new ideological “army,” the CEO “will throw it directly against the administrative state—not bothering with confirmed appointments, just using temporary appointments as needed. The job of this landing force is not to govern.” The new regime must take over the country and “perform the real functions of the old, and ideally perform them much better.” It must “seize all points of power, without respect for paper protections.”
Duran noted that Vice President J.D. Vance has echoed Yarvin’s prescriptions and that Trump sidekick billionaire Elon Musk appears to be putting Yarvin’s blueprint into action. “Musk is taking a systematic approach,” Duran wrote, “one that has been outlined in public forums for years.”
This is more than a coup, it is a rewriting of American society. Further explanation, this is about erasing entire groups of people as they attack Trans, Gays, Jews, disabled, women, minorities and then the federal agencies charged with enforcing the laws Congress writes to protect Americans. This is also an attack on Congress and the Constitution deeming them both unnecessary. This is much, much more than a coup.
Musk and his “Gestapo” represent a threat to even the republicans and trump. As you read the above quotes, you can see they are seeking to remake America in their own image. They want control and power and with the guise of “seeking efficiency” they are achieving their goals. This is in alignment with Project 2025.
The whole premise of P25 is a post Constitutional order where the Executive Branch is in total charge of the government, but P25 is being blind-sided by the DOGE crew. By allowing the DOGE Bros the unfettered access (under the camouflage of seeking efficiency) will neuter the power of the republicans in Congress. They will (as if they are not already), just like the “elected” Duma of Russia. Whatever Putin says they do. We are seeing that happen in the Senate right now as they continue to approve HIGHLY unqualified nominees. I have written my senators about these and I have yet for either of them (Ernst and Grassley) to address why they are voting to confirm the unqualified nominees and why they rejected Biden nominees that were highly qualified. Crickets.
In the information age, knowledge of the code is power. Personal information is power. These people have the coding knowledge, and they now have gained access to the personal information of 300 million individuals. I do not think we should be comforted that the chief grifter of government money (Musk) and his legions of life inexperienced goons will operate with integrity. We already see the most likely irreparable damage that is being done with his shutting down the USAID program. Countries that had just started to respect America during Biden’s term will no longer seek our help and will be turning to China which will use this open void to help repair their economic woes Biden inflicted on them with the USAID program. USAID program benefited American economics as money was spent to support American business that provided the supplies. This will effect us domestically as well. The lack of understanding of the program is so much more important than these people understand.
This is only the beginning. DOGE is surgically taking many aspects of P25 and remaking America – THIS IS NOT A COUP.
