Hiring coding engineers for the “audit” should be an extremely disconcerting point in all of this DOGE fervor. This is not an audit, but a redirection in the planning stage that the legislators that could and should stop this do not understand. Cutting positions is a smoke screen to prevent auditing the “auditors” who have the open door the enormous data of the most powerful government on the face of the Earth.

The U.S. Government collects do mush data across all aspects of the American way of life. From business, education, environment, welfare needs, life expectancy, disease spread and prevention, military strategy, technology, foreign governments, the weather,…you name it, there is most likely government data on it. Who wouldn’t want unfettered free access? This is one of the ideas out of George Orwell’s 1984 – “He who controls the present, controls the future, he won controls the past, controls the present.” At least it is something like that.

Controlling this data library is the edge the U.S. Government took very seriously. Anyone ever wonder why the U.S.S.R. weapons always looked like the newest American? If you ever read any of the writings of the Cold War, you find that the target of the Soviets spies centered on gaining access to research projects here in America. They were seeking access to the innovations, because their scientists were punished for failure, where the scientists in America were allowed to fail and try again. Not so in autocracies, especially the Soviet Union. Now we have the Chinese government doing much the same.

If there is anything that keeps getting missed it is the data access DOGE is gaining. It is America’s real Gold Vault. The access being granted to DOGE should be stopped, because if these coding engineers are allowed access to the system in such a manner, the ability of our adversaries to gain access will increase. This will include possible access to make planes collide, set off power failures, and shut down payments to the healthcare and military. They have already been doing some of this. The CONservative leadership replaced the guards of this data with unvetted people that have no loyalty to the country. Their loyalty is to Musk. They will do whatever he directs them and have no concern for the well being of America as they move through the government agencies removing personnel that take their jobs very seriously and work with passion tending to their duties.

This is all being allowed due to the CONservative leadership is now full on con game. No longer holding on to the idea that a small government is necessary, only a strong government that controls our lives while claiming freedom, while oppressing fringe groups like trans people, gays, minorities, women and of course the most dangerous group of all – immigrants legal and illegal. All these groups contribute to our society in positive manners. They add to our tapestry of America by their social and economic contributions. The DEI, CRT dangers are figments of imagination created by the angry white men that feel they have been left behind. In some instances, they are correct, because they have been left behind because they cannot measure up on merit to these groups. Merit – the very thing they claim to promote while ignoring the facts. The attitude of many in the previous tRump administration was and now again – “you are here to serve the wishes of this administration, not the people of the country.” The actions of personnel reduction are about removing and making space for just those kinds of people. In all likelihood, these positions will be refilled with loyal followers as directed in Project 2025. Big Government will be back, but not to serve the people. It is all in the data.

I have known many people from these groups over the course of my now 69 years of life and those that rose to the top were very hard working, beyond reproach in their character and extremely competent in their knowledge and skills. In other words, they had the merit. And yet, those few that rose up that did not measure up are the ones these DEI, CRT whiners complain about are few and far between – the “exception to the rule”. Government data shows that DEI is beneficial to the country and if one gains access to the data, then the date can be changed to show something different. It’s the data – stupid.

In Michael Lewis’ book, The Fifth Risk, he shows the many faces of this data collection. An example is the Office of Science in the Department of Energy is, in reality, the Office of Science for all America as it operates the nuclear weapons program and works on climate change. This according to John McWilliams a former employee in the department. He told Lewis the department held information of the location of nuclear material all over the world and well as the data on missing material. Imagine having control of that data in nefarious hands. Unscreened DOGE people now have that access. The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) collects twice as much data daily as is contained in the entire book collection in the Library of Congress. This data is protected and managed by people that are service dedicated. Imagine all this data in the hands of people not loyal to the mission of government. Without NOAA date, no plane would fly, no bridge built, and our military could not plan for their actions. This are just a few examples of what Lewis found in his research. It is the data.

DOGE is less about the broadcast mission of making government efficient and gaining access and power to the real Fort Knox- government data access. Why else would he hire data scientists and not auditors?
